SESSION
WORSHIP MINISTRY
Worship - Works closely with the Pastors/and Director of Music Ministries/Church Organist to coordinate all aspects of the worship service including special events (Advent, Easter, & Pentecost and Homecoming) and all musical programming.

DISCIPLESHIP MINISTRY
Stewardship - Evaluates the level of awareness of the need for stewardship of our time, talent, and resources to the church, the community and the world. This committee is responsible for the stewardship campaign in the Fall as well as educating the congregation in our Christian call to stewardship.
Christian Education - Assists those in our church family to attain a mature Christian faith that is life-changing, shapes our commitments and obligations, seeks compassion and justice for all God's children, is enthusiastically shared, and applies scripture to everyday life.

Children Education - Committed to love, nurture and teach the children and their teachers who worship with our congregation so that they may know the Bible and principles of Christian living, and experience God's love in an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Coordinates with the Director of Children's / Family Ministry, the children's nurseries, children's Sunday School, Amigos fellowship, Vacation Bible School, Day Camp, and childcare volunteers. |

Youth - Provides opportunities for youth (6th - 12th grade) to experience a supportive Christian community wherein they can establish a committed relationship with Jesus Christ. Youth are encouraged to participate and lead in the various programs and activities. Along with close coordination with the Director of Youth / Recreation Ministry, the committee is responsible for the Sunday Night F.O.L.D.; Bible Study, Retreats; and Confirmation Classes. |

Adult Education-Responsible for Adult SS classes, curriculum and special events. |

Library: Children |
Small Groups - Assists, enables and facilitates folks in coming together in small groups of 6-12 persons with similar interests from the Welcome Table to Bible Study groups.
Presbyterian Women [partial] - PW offers monthly Bible study in our circles with preprinted study guides. Weekly Bible study groups with various focuses are also offered. Annually, PW sponsors a Women's Retreat, and the Day of Enrichment.
MISSION & OUTREACH MINISTRY
Witness - Responsible for the global mission outreach of our church. It's main work centers around the sponsoring of short and long term service mission opportunities for young people and adults of our congregation. This committee also oversees the sponsoring of long-term missionaries, of scholarships for students of our church involved in theological education, and for the support of the Presbytery, Synod, and General Assembly of our denomination.
Evangelism - Encourages members of the congregation to become involved in church activities and programs, offering opportunities to deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ. Reaches out to visitors to our congregation to offer an "official welcome" and information about our church and coordinates visitor's visiting teams.
Service & Outreach - Supports local organizations and agencies, which minister to families in need of food, shelter or counseling. Committee members serve as liaisons between the church and organizations to keep our congregation informed of ways that we might provide volunteer service and funding.
Presbyterian Women [partial] - PW donates money, materials, and volunteer time to local and global programs. These programs include the Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Seamen's Center, Cherry Hospital, Salvation Army, Good Shepherd House, Presbyterian Counseling Center, Barium Springs Home for Children, Church Women Untied, Migrant Workers' Ministry, Operation Christmas Child, and Church World Service.
ADMINISTRATIVE MINISTRY
Building & Grounds - Maintains all aspects of the church building and equipment. Includes painting, cleaning, maintenance and inspection, vehicle(s) upkeep and purchasing any new equipment. All outside requests for use of our facilities must be approved by this committee.

Interiors - To see that the interiors of the building are kept aesthetically pleasing, coordinated and in good condition. |
Long Range Planning - Responsible for providing to the church officers for their consideration, a vision for the future of St. Andrews-Covenant Presbyterian Church in the areas of programming, facilities, and staffing. They are to analyze on a regular basis how the church is carrying out the vision set by the officers and report regularly to the Session.
Personnel - Has administrative responsibility for the church staff, including job descriptions, Personnel Policy Manual (vacation policy, vacation replacements, retirement policy and health insurance and pension plan programs, sick leave, etc.), pay scale, and addition of new staff members. Coordinates volunteer assistance for the church office.
Communications - Encourage and facilitate communication among the committees and ministries within the church, educate members, visitors and the Wilmington community about activities and opportunities for participation in the life of SACPC, promote an invitational, welcoming, diverse and inclusive community of faith.
Technology - Responsible for the church computer network, web site and the office electronic equipment.
Finance - Responsible for development of policies and guidelines for dealing with financial matters related to the church. Reviews monthly financial statements. Monitors various committee expenses. Resolves emerging financial issues from the Financial office, or members of the church.
Church Officer Nominating - Annually develops and presents a slate of officers (twelve elders and eight deacons, plus others as required to fill unexpired terms, and occasional youth representatives) for approval by vote of the congregation; fulfills other nominating assignments as directed by the Session.
Covenant Foundation - In 1995, SACPC established the Covenant Foundation, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation for the purpose of cultivating memorial gifts, bequests and other contributions to be used in the ministry of this church; to receive and invest such gifts and bequests and to encourage Presbyterians and others to plan for long range commitments to the work of the church. The foundation is a separate corporation with its own board of directors. Foundation membership is comprised of every active or inactive elder or deacon of SACPC.
DIACONATE
FELLOWSHIP & CARING MINISTRY
Caregiving - Nurtures our congregation during both difficult times and joyous celebrations. This committee includes the Ridership program (provides transportation to church activities as needed), Love Connection (congregational members paired with at-home members), letter writing and phone calls.

Stephen Ministry - Trained caregivers providing one-on-one caring relationships for members in crisis. |
Presbyterian Women [partial] - PW provides fellowship in our monthly circle meetings. Circle members nurture our home bound and college members through cards, visits and gifts. When requested, PW provides food and hospitality for families after funeral or memorial services.
Fellowship - Plans and facilitates "church family" activities for all ages. Coordinates Fall Frolic, Talent Show, Marriage Enrichment retreats, Family retreats.

New Member Assimilation - Helps new members become integrated into the life of the church so that within one year they have begun to develop significant relationships with current members and have found opportunities to give of their time and talent.
Recreation & Sports - Oversees current recreational opportunities and is to develop broad-based recreational initiatives with attention being given to reaching out to the non-churched community.
