Youth Ministry Happenings:

Curbside Cafe- We will be cooking and serving for our neighbors on the street every other Thursday  through the  year. Meet in the Kitchen at 5:45pm, we serve at 6:30 and finish at 7:30pm. Les Edwards will be our point person in this ministry and needs other adults to help him out. Call Leslie Tinsley if you are interested.
Cypress Pointe - the girls d-groups will be visiting this nursing home each week to visit and build relationships with the residents. Caroline Stratas is our point person for this great ministry.                            
nine40five- (Sunday Morning Program) Meets in the HUB for all  6^th-12^th grade students. We start with a time of fellowship, then move into the Great Room for Worship and Announcements and then the MS and HS groups split up for a deeper discussion of the lesson. 
D-GROUPS- The Pops meal starts at 5:30pm and the meeting will begin shortly after we eat. Call Nancy for more info. 762-9693. D-groups are now full and will open again at the Winter Break. 
The FOLD (Sunday Night Big Program) Middle School is 5-7pm and High School is 6-8pm in the Hub. Each group will experience a meal time, skits and games, worship time with our band and biblical teaching. This environment is intended for all students, whether they have never been to church before or have been their entire life. Bring $3 for the meal and any money you want to give towards SPOKES (our mission ministry supporting 3 Compassion International children, Curbside Cafe and Cypress Pointe.

              Sept. 13-14    Caswell "Disciple Now" Fall Retreat 
                         Saturday, 10:30am - Sunday, 11:00am
                         Fort Caswell - $50 per Student
                                     Here’s the Scoop:  We have the incredible opportunity to take our entire
                                            youth group—middle and high school—to Fort Caswell for a city-wide fall
                                            retreat with many other youth groups!  Our church will be together in a couple
                                            of houses there and we’ll have plenty of “hang out” time to be together and
                                            play but also to meet and get to know Nathan and Tara Tuttle our new youth
                                            directors.  There will also be a great worship leader, Stuart Hall, from Andy
                                            Stanley’s church in Atlanta who will speak to us and a great praise band as well!
