Our Lenten journey begins this week as we find ourselves in the wilderness with Jesus in Matthew 4:1-11. In the Bible, the wilderness is almost always a place of struggle; but is also a place of deep identity formation. As you reflect on the Scripture for this week, think about these questions: What does Jesus encounter in the wilderness and how is he changed? And what happens in the times of wilderness for us?
